Step 3 was getting back in touch with Charles, the graphic artist who has been let down by so many people and other dev studios and who – we remember – finally announced there is not much else he could possibly do to get the development of the game finished.
At first when we emailed him, he was considerably skeptical, however who knows me from working with me on Scene World knows, I like managing maniac projects, the more it is unlikely to succeed, the more I am thrilled to push through with it! 🙂
What followed was a lengthily voice call between me, Martin and Charles and it turned out, he’s ready to give it another go with us as a team.
Paperwork was done, contract was signed, source code transferred to us, and we built a Rescue Team group chat on Discord so we can update and ping each other following every step of the project.
What sounds like a quick turnaround, actually dragged along for weeks, including a lot of consideration on Charles’ side, which Martin and I totally understood given his past bad experienc – let’s put it this way: Humans can be complicated…
Just before Christmas, we decided to work together as a new team on a mission!
