Already shown off his game dev skills, our Scene World member Nodepond, under the label “Storm Electricity” at our Scene World gamescom booth with his game “Wildhoney“, he told me shortly before Gamescom 2025, that he started a new business in being a game publisher now.
Hence I told him that I know of the ideal project he could publish next. And there the story continues by telling him about Drift Stage and its troubled stage of development!
Coincidentally, we had an appointment at Milestone’s booth at Games and a presentation and interview of the re-boot of the arcade PC classic “Screamer“.
Despite not really into racing, Martin was hooked about the current state of arcade racing and seems arcade racers will have a big revival next year anyway.
Not only “Screamer” is rebooting, but also Disney is doing a successor of Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiavNl4qxWY
We then did some research about press coverage of the creators of the game and found a portrait of Charles “DelkoDuck” Blanchard as an artist and his style by gamesradar, as well as a video intrrview with the composer Hugh Myrone with GameSpot.
